Terms and Conditions - Granö Beckasin AB
These terms and conditions apply to reservations by companies (not approved for credit) as well as private persons with Granö Beckasin AB and relate to bookings via any sales agent, online via the website, and/or any other method of booking or making reservations such as telephone or email or mobile app. Before you make a reservation with Granö Beckasin AB you should read these Terms and Conditions carefully. They are a contract between Granö Beckasin AB and you from the time the booking is made. The person who makes the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all the people in the group and is responsible for all payments due. By submitting a booking request you confirm to us that you agree and will abide by these arrangements.
1. Making a booking
By making a booking you are confirming that you are authorized to do so on behalf of all persons named in the booking and you are acknowledging that all members of your party agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. When your booking has been made, a confirmation will be sent to you by email using the email address that you have supplied. You should retain a copy of this confirmation for your reference. You should carefully check the details of your confirmation as soon as you receive it. You must contact Granö Beckasin AB immediately if any of the details are incorrect or incomplete. We will always endeavor to rectify any inaccuracies or accommodate any alterations you wish to make to your booking. We cannot accept liability for any inaccuracies that are not brought to our attention within seven days of issuing your confirmation, nor can we accept responsibility for inaccurate information that you have supplied.
2. Booking and Confirmation
A booking is binding after it has been confirmed and you have been given a booking number. This can be done verbally, in writing or via our booking system.
After you have booked, you will be sent confirmation by post or email and a booking number. All bookings made have to be paid by the day of arrival.
3. Cancellation Terms
Our cancellation policies are as follows:
between the time of booking and 45 days prior to departure: loss of your full deposit (30% of trip cost);
less than 45 days prior to departure: loss of 100% of the trip cost per person.
4. Cancellations and change made by Granö beckasin AB
In the unlikely event that Granö Beckasin AB is unable to accommodate a confirmed reservation, it may be necessary to offer an alternative of an equal or a superior standard. If at any time we need to make changes that will significantly affect your stay or we need to cancel your stay, we will tell you as soon as possible, offering a suitable alternative. This does not apply to minor changes, equipment failures, or events during your stay, resulting from unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. It is also important to be aware that in any program the dates and times for activities may well vary for any reason including scheduling, staffing, weather, and safety. Our aim is to provide a fantastic experience at the best time or day, not at a specific time or day. We cannot be held responsible for canceling your booking because of your failure to comply with any requirement of our Terms & Conditions, and Granö Beckasin AB cannot be held liable for any expenses, costs, or losses incurred by you as a result of any change or cancellation made by Granö Beckasin AB.
5. Price Change
All prices are quoted in SEK and include tax (VAT). The price may only be changed due to cost increases due to:
• Changes in transport costs.
• Changes in taxes, duties or fees regarding services included in the trip or.
• Changes in the exchange rate that affect the organizer's costs for the trip.
• The price may not be increased during the last 20 days before the agreed departure date.
6. Passport, visa, and health-policy regulations
Granö Beckasin AB is in no way responsible for the compliance of passport, visa, and health policy or behavior regulations. If difficulties arise due to missing individual requirements or which are to be led back to the behavior of the traveler, the traveler cannot withdraw from the contract without cost. In this respect, the terms and conditions for cancellation shall apply.
7. Responsibility for transport to Västerbotten Sweden
Granö Beckasin AB services commence from Umeå Airport or Vindeln train station and all international and domestic travel to these destinations is the client’s responsibility. As such any cancellations or amendments are subject to the terms and conditions of the carrier you have selected. We strongly recommend that all our clients take out comprehensive travel insurance to avoid disputes in case of cancellation. Granö Beckasin AB terms and conditions for cancellation shall apply to the components booked through us.
8. Arrival and Departure
The hotel room is available earliest from 16.00 on the day of arrival. You must vacate your room latest 12.00 on the day of departure. The room is reserved for arrival latest 18.00. If you are going to arrive later, you must notify the reception. If notification about late arrival is given in writing, it must be confirmed in writing by the hotel in order for it to be valid.
9. Catering
Food included according to program. By arrival later than 21.00 on arrival day the costumer will not be able to get dinner according to program. Instead we will serve food in a different way depending on how late the guest arrive. The cost for the dinner will not change.
Alcoholic beverages and Non-alcoholic beverages are not included in the price.
Cleaning of the accommodation and changing towels are done on demand otherwise every second day.
10. Early departure and staying for an indefinite period
Changes to the date of arrival, date of departure or type of room can be made if there are vacant rooms but this may imply changes to the price. If you are staying at the hotel for an indefinite period and are extending your stay one night at a time, you must inform us of your departure latest 18.00 the evening before. Otherwise you may have to pay for another night. If the hotel can no longer allow you to use the room, you are entitled to be informed of that latest 18.00 on the evening before the day of departure.
11. Granö Beckasin's obligations and your wishes
If Granö Beckasin cannot provide a guest with a room as agreed, the guest has the right to be given a similar or better room at Granö Beckasin at no extra cost. If that is not possible, a room at a hotel of a similar standard will be provided but that hotel does not have to be of the same type (e.g. does not need to be a tree house).
12. Specify your wishes when you make your booking to ensure the hotel is properly prepared
All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. If you breach the prohibition to smoke, Granö Beckasin AB has the right to charge you. If you want to bring a pet with you, please say so when you make your booking (an additional charge will be made). The guest is obliged to notify and compensate Granö Beckasin AB if the room, cottage or any fittings that belong to Granö Beckasin are damaged during the rental period.
If the costumer has any special wishes concerning e.g. special food, pets, etc. these shall be made known at time of order. The same applies if the Costumer requires special security arrangements.
13. The storage of valuables and baggage
The hotel can store your baggage but never takes responsibility for handed-in items. The hotel has no obligation to store property that is of a high value. The hotel has no strict responsibility for the property you store in the hotel room. If a key is lost, it is the guest's responsibility to bear the costs incurred. By law, the hotel has the right to retain luggage as security for a claim against a guest and in certain cases may also sell it, in accordance with established rules.
14. Liability and Risk Liability and Risk
It is incumbent on all clients to be aware that the northern area of Scandinavia is a wilderness area and that there exist risks and hazards by the very nature of its environment and the activities that may be undertaken by clients. Clients should take note of their own limitations and physical fitness before booking or undertaking any activities offered in our tours or packages and if necessary seek their own independent medical advice. Granö Beckasin AB and the companies supplying the products and experiences in its packages disclaim responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness, or any other event beyond our control. Granö Beckasin AB also disclaims responsibility for any schedule change due to weather, strike, or any other cause beyond Granö Beckasin AB’s control. Granö Beckasin AB reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries, or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise. We recommend all clients have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.
15. Fitness to Travel and Medical Conditions
We are not a specialist disabled holiday company but we will do our utmost to cater for any special requirements you may have. If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect your trip, please provide us with full details before we confirm your booking so that we can try to advise you and confirm as to the suitability of your chosen Arrangements. We may require you to produce a doctor’s certificate certifying that you are fit to participate in your chosen tour.
Acting reasonably, if we are unable to properly accommodate the needs of the person(s) concerned, we will not confirm your booking from our behalf or, if you did not give us full details at the time of booking, we may cancel it and impose applicable cancellation charges, when we become aware of these details.
15. Your own safety
Always inform yourself of where emergency exits, alarm buttons and fire extinguishers are located. For detailed information, look on the inside of the hotel room door.
16. Renting equipment
You are responsible for returning rented equipment to Granö Beckasin at the right time and in clean and good condition. You will be charged if you break off the activity at a place other than the stipulated destination or if the equipment has been damaged. All participation is at your own risk.
17. Snowmobile
• All our snowmobile tours are guided by a guide.
• Punctuality will be appreciated.
• We offer extra winter clothes (helmets, snowsuits and insulated boots, ski goggles, warm pair of gloves, etc.)
• We require drivers to be 16 years of age or older to drive their own scooter.
• The driver must have one of the following driving licenses (car, tractor, AM Class1, scooter, mc).
• The driver must be 18 years or older to carry a passenger.
• For the safety of our guests, we have a maximum of 2 persons per snowmobile (driver and passenger) regardless of age.
• Note that small children can travel but depending on size / age, we can use Pulka that is drawn behind the guide's snowmobile and is also very fun. The adult must follow the child in Pulka.
• You will be briefly informed about snowmobile safety and basic driving skills and knowledge.
• All guests must sign a waiver of liability before the trip's departure.
• For safety reasons, the participant must follow the instructions given by the participant otherwise the wizard will be entitled to end the trip immediately.
• Individual drivers must keep in mind that this is an adventure with inherent danger.
• Our experienced guides require all participants to drive in line, zigzag driving is absolutely forbidden.
• Anyone suspected of being affected by drugs or alcohol smells will not be able to participate in a snowmobile tour.
• Remember that your life and the other participants depend on your responses, so keep the distance the security wizard will inform you.
• Participants must realize and accept that there is a certain part of the risks of snowmobiles. Although these risks are minimal, they are available.
• Participation in snowmobile tour is at the participants' own risk.
• In case of damage caused by the snowmobile driver, the driver will be charged with a maximum of 10000 Swedish kronor for insurance costs.
• We reserve the right to deny participation to each individual.
• Granö Beckasin has the right to cancel the trip if the weather conditions are bad.

18. Information on the handling of personal data
We process your personal data in your capacity as visitors and guest with us.
We do this so that we can handle bookings for accommodation, activities and restaurant visits and to otherwise be able to manage your stay with us. For these purposes, we handle the information you provide to us, such as e.g. name, telephone number, mail and social security number. We also use certain data as a basis for producing statistics.
The legal basis for our handling is to fulfill the agreement / agreement with you, but also to enable us to fulfill our legal obligations according to the Accounting Act. People who can access your personal data are the employees of Granö Beckasin.
Granö Beckasin may also disclose your personal information to our partners who arrange activities that you participate in and some accommodations that are outside the Granö Beckasin facility.
The personal data you provide to us is stored in our systems until we do not need them for the above purposes, after which your information is deleted.
You have several rights as registered. You have the right to request access to your personal data (a so-called register extract). You have also had to request to have incorrect personal data corrected and to request deletion of your personal data. You have the right to object to the handling of your personal data and request limitation. You also have the right to request that your personal data be transferred from us to another operator. You request these rights by contacting us.
If you are dissatisfied with how we handle your personal data, you can also lodge a complaint with the Data Inspectorate.

19. Force Majeure
Force Majeure means unusual, unforeseeable, and unavoidable events beyond Granö Beckasin AB control, which is an obstacle to the trip, which cannot be completed. Events that organisers could not reasonably have foreseen when the contract was concluded and whose consequences he could not reasonably have avoided or overcome. Including but not limited to war, the threat of war, riots, civil disobedience or strike, pandemic, governmental action, terrorism, natural or industrial disaster, fire, severe or unexpected weather conditions, water levels in rivers or floods, closure of airports and can also include industrial dispute involving third parties, technical problems or maintenance problems or unforeseen operational decisions by airlines such as changes in schedules or interruption of the IT infrastructure (including but not limited to our website). Under these conditions, Granö beckasin AB is free of liability for damages or other penalties. We recommend all clients have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies. It is your responsibility to ensure that any insurance cover you have, provides adequate cover for your needs and for the duration of your stay. In all travel packages and activities that we offer, you participate at your own risk. Notwithstanding, all companies we cooperate with have risk and consequence management plans and their own protection and indemnity insurance. Read your own insurance policy carefully before traveling and ensure it is adequate for the region and activities you will be undertaking.
20. Travel Guarantee
All companies in Sweden that promote and sell travel packages are required by Swedish law – Swedish Travel Guarantee Act – to have a travel guarantee to cover situations where a trip is canceled or interrupted due to the insolvency of the travel operator who sells the trip. Granö Beckasin AB has a valid travel guarantee through our membership in Visita. All travel operators with a valid travel guarantee are published on Kammarkollegiet’s website. 21. Disputes
To resolve legal disputes or uncertainties relating to travel packages or other events, the Disicpinary Board of VISITA ia at disposal of both parties free of charge. VISTA´s corporate members have undertaken to adhere to the decision of the Disciplinary Board.
