Message from Nat - Gutsy Girls Founder

I’ve been trying to find the words and brain energy to write a blog / statement about Covid 19 from Gutsy Girls, for now here’s an informal ‘statement’:

2 weeks ago I was ready to share a blog about how Gutsy Girls was navigating the tricky situation, but things escalated quickly and within 48 hours I found myself in self-quarantine in Norway. The next 2 days were spent trying to understand new Norwegian Government Guidelines and if retreats could run as planned, followed by a mad panic to get myself back to the UK before the Norwegian borders closed.

Whilst I toyed with the idea of cross country skiing and eating my bodyweight in smoked salmon but home suddenly felt very far away!

If I’m going to be in lockdown, I want to do it with my boyfriend and Coco and a good selection of board games. (I’ll report back in another week if I still feel the same, our flat has definitely shrunk…)

The past two weeks, I’ve been working hard with our local providers in Norway, Portugal, Sardinia, Croatia, Cornwall and Northern Ireland to find solutions for our guests booked in for trips in the coming months.

We’ve been coming up with plan a, b and c’s and now all we can do is wait to see what the months ahead hold for us. We are flexible and adapting to find solutions that work for every one of our guests.

I’ve been in touch with all our guests booked in for retreats this year with updates and will continue to provide support on the lead up to your trips. I can’t wait to meet you on the other side of this all!

Gutsy Girls will survive this!

Behind Gutsy Girls is a strong community, a tribe of inspirational and bold women who have been so incredibly supportive the past 2.5 years. Thank you everyone who has reached out to me to send kind messages of support, they mean the world to me!

Whilst our adventures take a little pause, I’ll be working on new ways to connect you with likeminded friends online.

I’ll try my very best to bring you some positivity and joy giving you a little break from the c-word.

Now isn’t the time for adventure or travelling it’s a time for community. Protecting those around us and doing our part by staying home.

Virtual hugs,

Nat x
