Packing List

Beginner - Learn to Ski Holiday

We provide:

  • Skis

  • Poles

  • Ski boots

  • Helmet

What to Bring:

Ski Kit

  • Base layer thermal tops (a selection) (synthetic, wool or silk)

  • Long johns (thermal) (synthetic, wool or silk)

  • High-quality ski socks (merino wool or synthetic blends) - a selection

  • Fleece or wool jumper (a couple that you can layer up if cold)

  • Waterproof and windproof ski jacket with insulation or as a shell, depending on conditions and personal preference. Look for features like a snow skirt, adjustable hood, and ventilation zippers.

  • Ski Trousers / Salopettes: Waterproof and breathable ski salopettes. Insulated options work well for colder days, while shell trousers are better for layering and flexibility.

  • Sunglasses

  • Ski googles

  • Buff (you might want two - one for your neck, one under your helmet), scarf or balaclava

  • Ski gloves (2 pairs, ideally, in case one gets wet - warm mittens are best if you are prone to getting cold)

  • Glove liners and/or disposable hand warmers if you suffer from cold hands

  • 20 - 30 litre backpack

  • Beanie or Hat: Wear under your helmet if conditions are especially cold.

  • Hand Warmers: Small, disposable hand warmers are a nice backup on extra-cold days.

Off the Skis

  • Snow boots or waterproof hiking boots

  • Casual warm evening clothes

  • Night wear

  • Toiletries

  • Swimwear for the sauna if you wish (Swedes will go nude!)

  • Travel towel (optional; bath towels are provided)

  • Sunscreen (high factor) and lip salve

  • Any prescription medication

  • Other medication (paracetamol/ibuprofen) is significantly more expensive in Sweden so bring some if you need to

  • Compeed or moleskin for blisters, just in case!

  • Slippers / shoes (ideally with hard / waterproof soles) for the hotel

Other Stuff

  • Camera

  • Dry bags for inside your day pack to keep stuff dry

  • Waterproof case and lanyard for your phone might be handy

  • Snacks - a selection!

  • Water bottle (not a camelbak style bladder which will freeze)

  • If you’re packing light, you could bring soap flakes/wash to hand wash thermals if required

Occasionally, luggage can be misplaced especially if you are connecting with another flight before landing. We therefore recommend that you bring some clothes in your hand luggage so that you can participate on the first day even if your luggage doesn’t arrive with you!
